Malaysia currently accounts for around 40% of world palm oil production and 44% of world exports. Malaysian palm oil has been exported to more than 150 countries. Being one of the biggest producers and exporters of palm oil and palm oil products, Malaysia has important role to play in fuelling the global need for sustainable edible oils and fats.
Europe is one of the major destinations for sustainable Malaysian palm oil and it is viewed that the demand for Malaysian palm oil will continue to grow in the region. As part of the effort to further promote the market potential and Malaysian palm oil presence in Europe and specifically in the Balkan region, the Malaysian Palm Oil Networking Seminar in Zagreb, Croatia and Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina will be held on 31st of August and 6th of September 2016 respectively.
